Hero Tribute - Sgt. Ryan Patrick Baumann

A young local (Southern Maryland) hero, Sgt. Ryan Patrick Baumann, has paid the ultimate price and I wanted to honor him here.

He was killed in action on August 1, 2008 while serving his country in Afghanistan.

I offered the following words of thanks to the family:

Your son's service to our country and to the people of the world in the fight for freedom and liberty is very much appreciated. He paid the ultimate price for us. We are eternally grateful. I pray for your comfort during this difficult time for your family and offer my sincere condolences.
